Like Most Things With Him, This Came Out of Nowhere

Evren: “Hey Mom, do you know what you need if you have stinky shoes? Aerators and bungee laces. Bungee laces tie themselves you know.”

Box of Teeth

This morning Ayla lost another tooth while eating her breakfast. It’s been wiggly for days now and Evren graciously offered to yank it out of her mouth himself (sincerely) earlier in the week, but Ayla said “no thanks.”

Ayla has gotten the talk about Santa and his friends Mr. Easter Bunny and Miss Tooth Fairy. So, she knows.

On the way to school this morning, we were chatting about it and I told her, “Well, tonight you can put your tooth under your pillow and get some money from the *wink* tooth fairy to go towards your iPod. (She’s saving for an iPod.)

She was happy and then had a instant thought that I think just came out of her mouth.

Ayla: “Mom? If the tooth fairy isn’t real, then do the parents have all their children’s teeth somewhere?”

Jenn: “Yep, we sure do!”

(with genuine surprise) “WHAT THE?!?”

(not the answer she was expecting?)

Jenn: “Sure, after school, if you want, I can show you your box of teeth.”

Ayla:  “Awesome.”

Seems About Right

Your Dominant Intelligence is Interpersonal Intelligence

You shine in your ability to realate to and understand others.
Good at seeing others’ points of view, you get how people think and feel. You have an uncanny ability to sense true feelings, intentions, and motivations.

A natural born leader, you are great at teaching and mediating conflict. You would make a good counselor, salesperson, politician, or business person.

What Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?

I Need To Put These Fish To Work

I’ve always thought Baby Shark and Skyy should have their own home offices.

I’ve Got To Enroll Him in Preschool

It’s been announced today that Evren has a friend. Of the invisible variety.

Here are the facts as have been revealed to me:

Her name is Anchovie.

She’s a girl.

She is 4 years old.

You can’t see her. “But I play with her every day.”

She has a friend named Tanchovie.
