Mini Cinnamon Crescents

These babies were gone in two hours.

And I do mean babies, they are so cute!

The kids did show mile resistance at the sight of raisins, but they got over it quickly enough.

Cupcakes + Wine

I’m not a wine drinker.  Made a valiant effort at it, but failed.  But, if I were, THIS is the wine I would drink.  I’m sure of it.

Cupcake Chardonnay

Cupcake Wine

A big, rich Chardonnay from California’s desirable Central Coast, where the sun drenched grapes create full and elegantly-textured wines.  Decadent layers of butter, cream, bright citrus and vanilla melt into a balance of oak and subtle spice.  In other words: Sinful.

Well, after reading that, I might give this wine thing another go.

But, I tell you, the way today’s been going, what I really need is one of these.

Like With Everything, You Gotta Start Somewhere

If cooking is your quest, you can start here.

SALTED WATER FOR BOILING

This recipe has received high ratings and lots of reviews.

I work at a hospital. I am going to pass this recipe on to their kitchen. It will be a definite improvement on their current menu. Thank you.

I followed this recipe exactly and it came out perfectly. Next time, I think I will use 1/2 the salt and see if the results are acceptable. Recommended highly. Thanks, Epicurious, for sharing.

Wonderful, very moist!

I used iodized sea salt and added an extra 1/8 tsp. Definitely upped the ante. My guests were begging me for the recipe.

Ohhhhh, I wish there was a picture. I’m not sure if mine turned out right.

(Thanks Mike!)

New Cereals

I always say to myself when I go to the grocery store, “You know, there really aren’t enough cereals to choose from and someone should really get on that.”

And, apparently someone heard me talking to myself in the cereal aisle.

Digital Newsstand

One of the most awesome things I’ve seen in a long time.  Very genius.

Digital Newstand

This guy bought an old newspaper box on eBay, then hacked it together with a Mac Mini, and a flat screen monitor to create a digital newsstand that grabs and delivers the latest headlines to his living room each morning.

Want to build one for yourself?  (Or for me?)  You’re in luck!

Please, Please Let This Rumor Be True

Kill Bill is one of my absolute favorite movies (movie night this summer?  anyone?) and if you don’t have the soundtrack, well, that’s your loss and I’m very sorry for you.

So, now that you know that, you will now understand my ridiculous happiness when I came across this tidbit…

According to E. Bennet Walsh, an Executive Producer of Kill Bill, Tarantino has formulated the plots for two sequels and may be heading back to China to film them.

Part 3 would revolve around the revenge of two members of the Crazy 88s.  Part 4 would focus on the daughters of Beatrix Kiddo and Vernita Green getting square, as was previously rumoured.  Some even claim that the (previously unrevealed) daughters of Elle Driver and Gogo Yubari would also feature.

All rumor and speculation at this point, I’m sure, but I’ll cling to it with hope.
