At the Movies

It’s what you do over the holidays, right?  Here’s our reviews of the movies we saw this season…

(Funnily enough, this is the order that I saw them in, and also the order in which I liked them.  Least to best.)

Seven Pounds
Not as impressed as I thought I would be.  Cool story, but I immediately wanted to walk into the Yes Man theatre.  I needed a comedy chaser bad.

Yes Man
Fun movie, love Zooey – she might just about steal the show from Jim.  Great movie to get you motivated for all those New Year’s Resolutions!  It would be fine if you waited til it came out on DVD.

Adam Sandler in Bedtime Stories
Jenn:  Thought I would like it, but they did a really great job with this movie!  If you haven’t taken your kids to see it yet, GO THIS WEEKEND.  This is one of those rare movies that the entire family will enjoy.
Ayla:  I liked it, my favorite character was Bugsy because he had huge eyes and …it was  a really good movie and that’s pretty much it.
Evren:  It was good.  My favorite part was the booger monster.

Marley and Me
Jenn:  Of course by the end I was sobbing.  Very cute movie.  I never read the book, because I tend to not resist those books the entire rest of the country has read as a matter of principle, but ok, it’s probably a really good book too.
Ayla:  It was cute, I loved Marley, but it was also sad.
Evren:  I liked it, especially when the dog was a puppy.
