Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky

Very good book, but there was just soooooooo much of it. Every single paragraph, every single sentence was just crammed with facts. I am certain I retained not even 5% of it. Everything was interesting, it was just way too much.
The best part of the book was a chapter on Ghandi who I now know was a much more complex and fascinating character that I ever realized, and I can’t wait to learn more about him, his life and his legacy. Go figure. I didn’t think that would be the outcome of reading a book on the history of salt.
