People are Unappealing by Sara Barron
Whenever I go to visit my folks I always come home with a pile of books after having raided my mom’s stash of books she’s already read. I picked this one up and declared “Oh! I just KNOW I’ll like this book.” I vaguely remember her saying something quietly along the lines of, “Yea, um, … that book is um… not really what you think it might be, I’m not sure…” But, I dismissed her. What?? How could a book with the perfect title NOT be great?!
OK, mom, you were right. This book is weird and definitely not what I thought it was. Not horrible, but just, um, wacky? I think for the most part while reading I had a concerned look on my face and I was thinking Oh My. And yet, I kept reading.

Haha, I knew when I saw the title that you would be attracted to it
How strange that it didn’t work out…

Perfect example of “don’t judge a book by its cover.”
Definitely strange.
But I read the whole thing, also.
Ha.
