Sarah’s Key by Tatiana de Rosnay

Easily the most heart-wrenching, tragic story I have ever read.  I don’t know if it’s because I have young children that it impacted me so greatly, but I suspect that might have played a part.  I had to finish it, I had to find out what happened, but I was scared to read more at the same time.  Very well-written and deserving of any accolades received, but don’t pick up this novel if you need a light-hearted tale.
