All He Ever Wanted by Anita Shreve
First of all…I am extremely curious how they came up with the cover art for the softcover version of this novel for a story that takes place in the early 20th century. And secondly, I don’t know why I am always attracted to Anita Shreve novels when I rarely have a 5 star rating to offer.
**Spoiler** Let me summarize: Man loves a woman, Woman doesn’t love this man and says so, but marries him away and… failed marriage follows. Shocking!
