Ayla volunteered and supported her friends who were hosting a Family Christmas Craft Night at a local elementary school. She said the kids were very hyper and crazy. I was proud of her for giving up her Friday evening, following a very long day of school and the staff vs. students volleyball match. I made the mistake of casually asking Evren, hey buddy, do you want to go pick up a craft at Michael’s? Skip ahead to two hours later when I’m still held hostage in an arts and crafts store with a 9-year old… he was being so sweet it was hard to be the mean mom and force him to leave. We did pick up a couple of crafts but by the time I got both kids home it was straight to bed for everyone. The kids finished their crafts together, in the morning.
