Evren’s Artwork
Evren is standing right next to me and he’s going to tell me the captions for these pictures…

Left to right: “cat, cat, cat, lion, spider, turtle, me.”

Left to right: “my sister, me, mommy, dad.”

Left to right the red ones are “mommy, me, ayla & dad. The green ones are Unkle Dave and Aunt Tara and the yellow ones are Grandma and Grandpa. Uncle Rick isn’t on here, I put him somewhere else. Is Uncle Rick married to Jen? Oh, and the yellow cats at the bottom are Cupcake and Pepper.”
Sculpture Culture
With friends we took the little ones to the Sculpture Garden for a field trip and I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect. I mean, once I took Evren to a wildlife rescue center where we were super close up to amazing animals like white tigers and lions and he could’ve cared less. He played with the plastic lounge chairs at the yard the entire time. So, sculpture? Eh, all his friends were going, so I took a chance.
And they all loved it! They had their little brochures and went from sculpture to sculpture, asking what the name was, trying to find it on their map, asking questions - it was amazing. And totally worth it.
Here are some highlights…

Don’t Touch Magenta
Apparently, T-Mobile has trademarked the color magenta and has even sued one other company over their use of the color in an advertisement. Um, what? In other news, we’re looking into trademarking kitty cats and science.

Well, It’s Something Brown…

“Look Mom! Look what I painted! It’s a gorilla!”
“Um, actually, isn’t it a Brown Bear?”
“Oh, right.”

Coloring inside the lines is overrated.

Steve Mack

Steve Mack says: The Counting Book Project is a companion book to my previously blogged and published Alphabet Book Project. Each week I post a new page until the whole book exists virtually online for all to enjoy for free. After the book is finished I work up a cover and some bonus material. The book is then published and available for purchase online.
