Pics From My Phone
I take photos when I don’t have my camera then completely forget they are there. Here’s the lastest batch:
Obviously this was taken when it was still hot outside!
“Mom! Mom! Quick! Get the camera! Cupcake is being cute!!!” This is our chubby cat “hiding” under some paper towels.
Evren fell asleep in the car in the middle of the afternoon - poor kid couldn’t keep his eyes open one moment longer. Photo op!
Ayla playing volleyball.
On the court.
Evren vacuuming. I called him over for something and then he said very sarcastically, “Mom. Do you mind? Can I get back to the vacuuming already?!”
Snuggly
They thought if they both gave me the evil eye I would get the camera out of their face.

And this was about 15 pics later…

They love each other now. Yea!
Pepper
At the beginning of February we went back to the animal shelter and picked up a friend for Cupcake. Ayla was set on a black cat and we found the perfect one. Pepper was roughed up a bit before she arrived at the shelter, and was one of the cats that had been there the longest. But, she was very friendly to us there, and we decided she would be the perfect companion for Cupcake.
But, then, we got her home and didn’t see her for a week. Literally. Then she finally decided it was ok if someone looked directly at her, but no longer than 5 seconds and then she would bolt. She had no issues with Cupcake and mostly just ignored her, but Cupcake was completely freaked out by the entire situation. So, for about a month we had one cat that was pissed and one that was scared and I thought my brilliant idea to have two cats, so they wouldn’t be lonely during the day, was for nothing.
But, then today! This!

Cuteness.
Cupcake
Now I really *have* to make a new category called Cupcake! We have a new kitten and perhaps unsurprisingly, her name is Cupcake. She is 3 months old and we got her from the SPCA (which is awesome!). And, as it turns out, she has really great taste in music…

She’s such a goofy girl. It’s not easy to catch her and most of the day is spent asking, “Have you seen the cat? Is she under the bed or the couch?” But, once you get her, she basically doesn’t understand that she *can* get away and just does whatever you want. Like sit quietly next to you and watch tv.
