Archive for Evren
From the Mouth of a 5-Year Old
Evren started a sentence today with, “I’ve waited all these years…”
and it was oh so dramatic.
Pics From My Phone
I take photos when I don’t have my camera then completely forget they are there. Here’s the lastest batch:
Obviously this was taken when it was still hot outside!
“Mom! Mom! Quick! Get the camera! Cupcake is being cute!!!” This is our chubby cat “hiding” under some paper towels.
Evren fell asleep in the car in the middle of the afternoon - poor kid couldn’t keep his eyes open one moment longer. Photo op!
Ayla playing volleyball.
On the court.
Evren vacuuming. I called him over for something and then he said very sarcastically, “Mom. Do you mind? Can I get back to the vacuuming already?!”
At the Movies

Evren’s Review: ”Good.”
Ayla’s Review: ”I think The Longshots…it had a lot of action in it. I liked it because it was really different than other movies cuz a girl playing football isn’t that usual. It wasn’t a WOW THAT WAS GREAT movie, but it was pretty good. I enjoyed it.”
Jenn’s Review: ”Much better than I expected. I was just thrilled it wasn’t animated. All around great movie, very inspirational, and a great movie to see with kids, especially girls. Definitely recommend even if you wait til it comes out on DVD.”
Chicken Poop Chapstick
Grandma and Grandpa sent this to Evren in his birthday package. Of course he thought it was great!

Get your own at at I Love Chicken Poop.
Contains no actual chicken poop and actually has a very pleasant smell.
The Little Guy is FIVE
Non-stop birthday day fun, for Evren who turned five.
First stop: Krispy Kreme. We were on our way to the toy store, and needed some sugar. And they were warm!

I let Evren pick “a small toy” (mistake) and it seemed like we would NEVER get out of there.
He couldn’t make up his mind to save his life.
He finally did decide, and by then we were all starving. He got to choose where we went to lunch and he picked Burger King because “You never take us there Mommy.”
Burger, fries and lemonade slushie.
THEN, PARTY!
All his very best friends showed up and it was fabulous.
Talk about an ugly cake, I know, but it was surprisingly good!
LOVED all his presents!!
THEN, (oh yes, there’s more)…
BUILD-A-BEAR
He named this little guy “FurJoe”.
Then, dinner, his choice, a hot dog from Sonic.
He was a great sport about the first 150 or so photos I took that day, but I think this was a hint that he just wanted to finish his dinner in peace.
Anyway… it was a great day and we are still cleaning up the aftermath. I have tons more pics and if you are interested I can send you the snapfish link - just email me.
Next stop…. Kindgergarten.
