Bold statement, I know. I’m sure you already have your favorite. I have no idea whatever possessed me to save this recipe in the first place, but I finally had the opportunity to make it and it was good.
Old-Fashioned Potato Salad

Half-way through, when I was certain I would ruin the potatoes, I was cursing (like I never do) and vowing never to make potato salad again, because, I mean, WHY, why would anyone even bother when you can just go buy some.
But, it was perfect. It was the perfect potato salad. And I would definitely make it again.

These babies were gone in two hours.
And I do mean babies, they are so cute!
Mini Cinnamon Crescents

The kids did show mile resistance at the sight of raisins, but they got over it quickly enough.

If cooking is your quest, you can start here.
SALTED WATER FOR BOILING
This recipe has received high ratings and lots of reviews.
I work at a hospital. I am going to pass this recipe on to their kitchen. It will be a definite improvement on their current menu. Thank you.
I followed this recipe exactly and it came out perfectly. Next time, I think I will use 1/2 the salt and see if the results are acceptable. Recommended highly. Thanks, Epicurious, for sharing.
Wonderful, very moist!
I used iodized sea salt and added an extra 1/8 tsp. Definitely upped the ante. My guests were begging me for the recipe.
Ohhhhh, I wish there was a picture. I’m not sure if mine turned out right.
(Thanks Mike!)

Meet the reason I’ve gained 5 pounds since Monday…
Crescent Layer Bars

It’s probably never a good idea for me to make a recipe that involves a step that says now…pour that entire can of sweetened condensed milk all over the top of it.
Needless to say, they are yummy.

It’s an unfortunate name for this recipe but we did have fun eating them. I had bought a big ol’ bag of frozen meatballs from Target last week on impulse with no idea what I might do with them once I got them home. Then, I came across this recipe by accident.
Meatball Bubble Biscuits

Slightly tedious, but not too bad. I think they are actually intended to be an appetizer, but I doubled the recipe and made them for dinner. Turns out they fill you up, so really, there was no need to double the recipe. We’ll be eating them for days. They were yummy - no weird ingredients, no reason for the kids to complain, no chance of screwing up the recipe. Super easy.

But you? Maybe you’re thinking, “You know? I always wanted to take the Krispy Kreme donut one step further.”
Ahhh….then may I introduce to you (not of my kitchen), the
Butter Fried Krispy Kreme Donut

Just as a precaution, you should wait near the phone for at least an hour after eating your donut — just in case a heart attack ensues.

This recipe for Chewy S’Mores Brownies is super easy. It’s from the side of the Duncan Hines Family-Style Brownies. Basically, you just make the brownies as directed…then, when they come out of the oven, immediately dump 2 cups mini-marshmallows and 1 cup chocolate chips on top. Pop it back in the oven for 2 minutes. Then right when it comes out put the graham crackers on top and smush. Seemed like a no-fail operation to me. After they cool, cut into servings around the graham crackers.
Mine just came out of the oven.

And I didn’t have the exact ingredients. I had leftover graham crackers that turned out to be exactly enough, half a bag of chocolate chunks and about 8 large marshmallows. And ta-da!
Here’s a free tip: To cut large marshmallows, or any other sticky candy, into smaller pieces, spray non-stick cooking spray onto your kitchen shears. Seems I did learn something from all those years of watching the Food Network.
Update: The girls agreed to be the taste testers and I overheard them (I didn’t even ask, I swear!). Ayla’s friend M* said “These really are good, don’t ya think?!” and Ayla said, “No. Correction. They are great!” Evren opted for Skittles instead. So, I ate his and it really was good.

I don’t want a single comment comparing this to my pineapple-zucchini bread (because I know that’s your first thought, so just shut it, it was GOOD) but here … here’s a recipe I will NOT be making. We love our broccoli around here (well, Evren and I do anyway) but this is taking it a little too far with the broccoli love.
